What Floating Offers Students

Deep Nervous System Support

When you step into a float room, you’re entering an environment designed specifically for your nervous system to shift out of fight-or-flight and into deep restoration. The weightlessness, the magnesium, the absence of external stimuli—everything works together to signal safety to your body.

Many find that after floating, that constant underlying tension finally releases, sleep becomes more restorative, and that feeling of being “wired but tired” starts to shift.

Mental Clarity and Focus

When your nervous system settles, your mind follows. In the quiet of the float room, without the constant input of notifications, conversations, and mental to-do lists, your brain can finally process, integrate, and reset.

Ideas connect more easily. That mental fog that makes everything feel harder starts to lift. It’s not that floating makes you smarter; it creates the conditions where your natural intelligence can function without interference.

Physical Restoration

University life can take a toll physically. Sitting in lectures, hunching over textbooks, carrying stress in your shoulders and jaw.

The magnesium-rich water in our float tanks absorbs through your skin, supporting muscle function and helping tension release naturally. The weightless environment takes pressure off your spine and joints. For athletes, this kind of deep physical restoration can be the difference between burnout and sustainable performance.

Permission to Just Be

Maybe most importantly, floating offers something that’s often missing in university life: permission to exist without producing anything. No assignments to complete, no social dynamics to navigate, no expectations to meet. Just you, your breath, and space to simply be.

This isn’t selfish or unproductive. It’s necessary. Your system needs time to integrate all the learning, growing, and changing you’re doing. Floating creates that space.

    The Float Love Experience

    Our Space

Float Love was created to feel like a sanctuary from the moment you walk in. We’ve thought about every detail—from the soft lighting to the comfortable spaces to relax before and after your float, to the way our team welcomes you.

Our float rooms are spacious and designed for comfort. The water is heated to skin temperature, so you lose the sense of where your body ends and the water begins. Each room is thoroughly cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, because feeling safe and cared for is essential to the experience.

    What To Expect

If you’ve never floated before, it’s natural to wonder what it will be like. Everyone’s experience is different, but here’s what you can expect:

You’ll start with a quick shower, then step into about 10 inches of water so saturated with Epsom salts that floating is effortless. You might feel a bit restless at first as your mind adjusts to the quiet, and that’s completely normal.

Most people find that within 10-15 minutes, their body starts to relax in ways they didn’t know were possible. Time moves differently when you’re floating—some people feel like they’ve been in for hours, others are surprised when their session ends.

There’s no right way to float. Some people meditate, others let their minds wander, some fall asleep. Your body knows what it needs.

Float Love has over 650 five-star reviews from people who’ve found exactly what they needed in our facility.

“Amazing experience, first time for me but I will definitely come back. You end up completely relaxed and there is a nice lounge you can relax a little more after your floating and before going out. If you have back or any muscular/bone pain you should definitely try it!”

    Samantha S

“I love this place. The atmosphere is so relaxing the moment you step in the door. It’s so nice to come here and escape the world for a moment. I have lower back pain from an old injury and after floating, it disappears. I definitely recommend that everyone should try it!”

    Alli K

“Float Love is absolutely fantastic. You can tell from the moment you walk in that they’ve thought of everything to make everyone’s float experience truly exceptional… after a wonderful hour or so of tranquil floating, you’re gently nudged back to reality with some light music. You will not regret this experience.”

      How Does It Work?

      Water and Epsom Salts

The float tank is filled with a solution of warm water and Epsom salts. The high concentration of magnesium sulfate in Epsom salts helps your body relax and draw toxins out of your skin.

      Buoyancy

The high salt concentration makes the water denser than your body, allowing you to float effortlessly. This weightlessness sensation can reduce physical tension and stress.

      Sensory Deprivation

The tank is soundproof and dark, creating a sensory deprivation environment. This means you’re shielded from external stimuli like light, sound, and temperature
